My lover was the system and I saw only reflections of myself in it,

I was a simple bodied cell and brought only my mysteries into it.

Wholeness is its own fulfillment,

And division, its way of experiencing it.

The lion pride stalks the day rise,

Pawing quicker than a snakes lunge.

The wolf pack hunts fast near dusk,

Never running tangled by spider webs.

But the cat sleeps mindfully at the crown,

Where a spider weaves dreams at night.

And a dog's panting rests it low to ground,

Where a snake slithers poison at hot noon.
