You’d think two narcissist could never work together as they both jostled for power; but it is not so. Raw power attracts them and they will bend to a greater power if it means being able to assume more. They also recognize one of their own and will leave each other alone for fear of apathetic retribution, instead prefering to toy with anyone easily swayed or under their influence. They will certainly be seen tactically climbing the ladder and trying to get above the rest, but their base fear of losing power makes them far more servile to it than antagonistic of it. And those power structures only fill the ranks with more of them, holding the chain of the servile-master system together through an unspoken agreement around the accumulation of personal power, priviliage, and prestige.
