Disgust always finds itself awash in transformation and tradition, feeling loyal to the aesthetics of forward momentum amid its arrogance to see its personal glamor, shallow accusation and revulsion as a divisive problem that need be overcome.

But by appeasing these two forces pulling stoutly in opposite direction, Disgust is able to create an illusion of centeredness, calmness within its own temperamental core. Within this moment, it becomes the eye, the hurricane’s ideal, the proverbial safe harbour from its own ravages. In reality, the measure of calm is related to the extent of its disaster.

When in full fury, it is as the pinwheel, lifting all material into a swirl around itself. It looks out to the acquired bounty of the land’s tradition, accessing and judging value, emitting what is redundant far beyond itself or smashing it low to the ground. From its sadistically calm core, it sees itself as the purifier of the land, the weigher of its traditions, the cutting cruelty needed for prosperity to follow and for fresh trees to sprout.

And if one searches for the storm’s idealized calm to seek refuge, they will only find its centre. And once there, to exit, will need journey back through the unfurling of all its ravaging disgust to see even a shimmer of light. And if one wishes to stay there, in that neurotic, sadistic swirling calm; no sleep will they find, no safe place will they know. And as soon as they tire will be when they’re gone.

But heed the swirl and find your grounding. The next moment approaches fast against us and shall be dimmer yet. For from the prodding voice of Disgust will come the eager visions of heavenly Wrath. The decisive moment encroaches close, the hour’s second ticks it forward to mark!

The storm will ravage, its fury must be,

But head for the sunlight for there you will see,

Huddle each close and let no wind between,

Then usher the stars as the cloud storms drain.

Go and prepare your way for the new one,

For around the hour the darkest night waits,

Within its stars shine Wrath’s terrible fates,

A community knit rings saving grace’s call.
